4. Setha
4.1 Ukufakwa kwebhethri
The multimeter requires one 9V battery (included). To install or replace the battery:
- Ensure the multimeter is OFF and test leads are disconnected.

- Remove the cover and insert the 9V battery, observing correct polarity.

6.1 Auto-Ranging

The multimeter automatically selects the appropriate measurement range, simplifying operation. You can switch to manual ranging using the RANGE button if needed.
6.2 True RMS (TRMS)
The TRMS function allows for accurate measurement of the true RMS value of non-sinusoidal waveforms (e.g., square waves, sawtooth waves, inverter outputs), providing more precise readings than traditional multimeters.
6.3 Ukubamba Idatha
Press the HOLD button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release.
6.4 MAX/MIN Value Recording
Press the MAX/MIN button to enter recording mode. The meter will display the maximum and minimum values measured since activation. Press again to cycle through MAX, MIN, and current readings.
6.5 Automatic Negative Polarity Indication
The display automatically shows a '-' symbol for negative DC measurements, preventing wiring mistakes.
6.6 I-Over Range Inkomba
If the measured value exceeds the selected range, the display will show 'OL' (Over Load) to protect the device from damage.
6.7 15-Minute Auto Shut-Off
To conserve battery life, the multimeter automatically powers off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Press any button or turn the rotary switch to reactivate.
