4. Setha
4.1 Ukuqaqa nokubeka
Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for comfortable operation and fabric handling.

4.2 Ukuxhuma Amandla
- Insert the power cord into the machine's power socket.

4.3 Winding the Bobbin
Proper bobbin winding is crucial for consistent stitch quality.

Follow these steps to correctly thread the upper thread for optimal sewing performance.

- Follow the numbered threading path down to the tension discs and up to the take-up lever.

- Inkinobho yokuqala / yokumisa: Use this button to start and stop sewing without the foot controller.
- Speed Control Slider: Adjust the sewing speed from slow to a maximum of 1,060 stitches per minute (spm).
- Inkinobho yokuhlehlisa: Press to sew in reverse, useful for securing stitches.
- Needle Up/Down Button: Controls the needle's resting position.
- Automatic Thread Cutter: Cuts both upper and bobbin threads automatically.
- Isikrini sokuthinta se-LCD: Navigate through stitch patterns, adjust settings, and view machine status.
5.2 Stitch Selection and Adjustment
The eXcellence 780 Plus offers a wide variety of stitches for all your creative needs.

- Stitch Library: The machine features 350 stitches, including utility stitches, decorative stitches, 11 buttonhole styles, and 2 alphabets. Refer to the stitch chart located under the top cover for a complete overview.
- Selecting Stitches: Use the LCD touch screen to browse and select your desired stitch pattern.
- Adjusting Stitch Settings: Once a stitch is selected, the machine will display recommended settings for length and width. These can be adjusted via the touch screen to suit your fabric and project requirements.
- Umsebenzi Wenkumbulo: Save custom stitch combinations or settings for quick recall.

- Automatic Presser Foot Lift: Some models feature an automatic presser foot lift for hands-free operation.

- Free Arm Sewing: Remove the accessory tray to convert the machine into a free arm, ideal for sewing cuffs, sleeves, and other small, circular items.
6. Isondlo
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sewing machine. Always unplug the machine before performing any maintenance.
6.1 Ukuhlanza
- Bobbin Area: Remove the needle plate and bobbin case. Use the lint brush to remove any lint and dust accumulation.
- Feed Dogs: Clean the area around the feed dogs with the lint brush.
- Ingaphandle Lomshini: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
