6. Ukusebenza

6.1. Vula/Vala

Cindezela inkinobho Inkinobho Yokukhanya Emuva (red button with light bulb icon) briefly to turn the meter on. The meter will perform a self-test and display the current light reading. The meter features an auto shut-off function to conserve battery life after a period of inactivity. To manually turn off, press and hold the Inkinobho Yokukhanya Emuva.

6.2. Selecting Measurement Units (Fc/Lx)

Cindezela inkinobho fc/lx Button to toggle between Foot-candles (Fc) and Lux (Lx) measurement units. The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD.

6.3. Data Hold Function

Cindezela inkinobho BAMBA Inkinobho to freeze the current reading on the display. The "HOLD" indicator will appear. Press the BAMBA Inkinobho again to release the reading and resume live measurement.

6.4. Minimum/Maximum (MIN/MAX) Function

Cindezela inkinobho Inkinobho ye-MIN / MAX to cycle through the minimum, maximum, and current readings recorded since the function was activated.

To clear the MIN/MAX memory, press and hold the Inkinobho ye-MIN / MAX until the indicators disappear.

6.5. Backlight Activation

Cindezela kafushane inkinobho Inkinobho Yokukhanya Emuva (red button with light bulb icon) to turn the display backlight on or off.

6.6. User Adjustable Parameter

The R8140 allows for user-adjustable parameters to calibrate for specialized light sources. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual (if available from the manufacturer's website) for advanced calibration procedures using the SETHA Inkinobho.

Wipe the meter body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the light sensor clean and free from dust or smudges, as this can affect measurement accuracy. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the sensor dome.

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the two (2) AA batteries as described in the "Battery Installation" section (5.1).
