3. Setha
3.1 Connecting Your Mixer
Before connecting any devices, ensure the Numark M2 mixer and all audio equipment are powered off. Connect your turntables, CD players, or other audio sources to the appropriate RCA inputs on the rear panel. Connect your main output to your amplifier or powered speakers, and your headphones to the front panel headphone jack.

- Ukuxhuma kwamandla: Connect the included power adapter to the M2's power input and then to a power outlet. Do not power on the unit yet.

- Connect your turntables to the PHONO inputs for channels 1 and 2. Ensure the PHONO/LINE switch is set to PHONO. Connect the turntable's ground wire to the M2's ground terminal.
- Connect CD players or other line-level devices to the LINE inputs for channels 1 and 2. Ensure the PHONO/LINE switch is set to LINE.
- Okokufaka kwemakrofoni: Connect a 1/4-inch microphone to the MIC input on the rear panel.
- Okuphumayo Okuyinhloko: Connect the MASTER RCA outputs to your amplifier, powered speakers, or PA system.
- Rekhoda okukhiphayo: Connect the RECORD RCA outputs to a recording device if you wish to capture your mix.
- Okukhipha I-headphone: Connect your 1/4-inch stereo headphones to the headphone jack on the front panel.
- Once all connections are made, you may power on your audio sources, then the Numark M2 mixer, and finally your ampi-lifier/izikhulumi.
4. Ukusebenza
4.1 Front Panel Controls Overview
The front panel of the Numark M2 provides access to all essential mixing controls, including channel faders, EQ knobs, crossfader, and microphone controls.

4.2 Izilawuli Zeziteshi
Each of the two channels features dedicated controls for audio input and equalization.

- I-GAIN Knob: Adjusts the input level for the respective channel. Set this to achieve a strong signal without clipping (distortion).
- TREBLE, MID, BASS Knobs: These are 3-band EQ controls. Turn clockwise to boost frequencies and counter-clockwise to cut them.
- PHONO/LINE Switch: Selects between phono (turntable) and line (CD player, media player) input sources for the channel.
- Isiteshi Fader: Controls the volume level of the channel's audio output.
4.3 Okokufaka kwemakrofoni
The M2 includes a dedicated microphone input with its own set of controls.
- I-MIC GAIN Knob: Adjusts the input level of the connected microphone.
- MIC TREBLE Knob: Adjusts the high frequencies of the microphone signal.
- MIC BASS Knob: Adjusts the low frequencies of the microphone signal.
4.4 Master Output
The master section controls the overall output level and cueing functions.

- I-MASTER Knob: Controls the overall volume level of the main mix output.

4.5 Cueing

- CUE Buttons (CH1/CH2): Press to send the audio from the corresponding channel to your headphones.

- CF SLOPE Switch: Adjusts the curve of the crossfader. A sharper slope is ideal for scratching, while a gentler slope is better for smooth mixing.
- CF MODE (NORMAL/REVERSE) Switch: Reverses the direction of the crossfader. In reverse mode, moving the fader to the left will play Channel 2, and to the right will play Channel 1.

5.1 Ukuhlanza
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your mixer.
