The Aiphone LEF-5 is a master intercom unit designed for selective calling and communication within a building, capable of connecting with up to five other intercoms (door, sub-master, or master units). It features a door-release button for remote access control.

The LEF-5 master intercom can be mounted on a desktop or wall. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the unit in your desired location. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and allows for proper cable routing.

To remotely unlock a door connected to the system (requires Aiphone RY-PA relay and electric strike), press the KHIYA button during a conversation with the door intercom.

Listening Function

Isixazululo: Confirm that an Aiphone RY-PA relay and an electric strike are correctly installed and wired to the system. Check the wiring between the LEF-5, the RY-PA relay, and the electric strike. - Ukuxhumana Okusheshayo:
Uphawu: Communication cuts in and out.
Isixazululo: Inspect all wiring connections for looseness or damage. Ensure proper wire gauge is used for the distance (e.g., 22 AWG for up to 650 ft, 18 AWG for up to 1,600 ft). - Call LED Not Illuminating:
Uphawu: No LED indication when a call is received or initiated.
Isixazululo: Check the connection to the calling intercom unit. Ensure the 'OFF' switch is not engaged if expecting a chime.
