3. Setha

3.1 Yini EseBhokisini

Upon unboxing your Nitecore EDC17, ensure all components are present:

  • EDC17 Flashlight

Note: The tail replacement module is for customization or replacement if needed.

3.2 Ukushaja Kwasekuqaleni

Before first use, fully charge the flashlight. The EDC17 features a built-in USB-C charging port. Locate the charging port cover on the side of the flashlight, open it, and connect the provided USB-C cable to a power source. The LED power indicator will show charging status.

A full charge typically takes approximately 1.5 hours. The power indicator will show a steady green light when fully charged.

3.3 Attaching the Clip and Lanyard

The included stainless steel clip can be attached to the flashlight for secure carry in a pocket, belt, or bag. The lanyard can be threaded through the designated hole for additional security and ease of access.

4.2 White Light Operation

  1. Vula/Vala: Slide the switch forward to turn on the white light. Slide it back to turn off.
  2. Lungisa Ukukhanya: While the white light is on, continue sliding the switch forward to cycle through the four brightness levels (Ultralow, Low, Mid, High). Release the switch at your desired brightness.

4.3 UV Black Light Operation

To activate the UV black light, press the M button. The UV light has three levels. Press the M button repeatedly to cycle through the UV brightness levels. Press the M button again to return to white light or turn off the flashlight using the slide switch.

4.4 Green Beam Operation

To activate the green beam, press and hold the M button. Release the M button to turn off the green beam. The green beam can also be used in combination with the white light for enhanced visibility and pointing.

4.5 Removable Glass Breaking Tip

The EDC17 is equipped with a removable glass breaking tip for emergency situations. This feature is located at the tail of the flashlight. Use with caution and only when necessary.

The Nitecore EDC17 features a convenient USB-C charging system. The recessed and covered charging port ensures protection against water, impact, and dust.

5.1 Inqubo yokushaja

  1. Open the protective cover of the USB-C charging port.
  2. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the flashlight and a power source (e.g., USB adapter, computer).
  3. The LED power indicator will display the charging status.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator will show a steady green light. Disconnect the cable and close the protective cover.

The LED power indicator provides real-time battery status:

  • 4 Constant-on lights: 75% - 100% battery
  • 3 Constant-on lights: 50% - 75% battery
  • 2 Constant-on lights: 25% - 50% battery
  • 1 Constant-on light: 10% - 25% battery
  • 1 Flashing light: <10% battery (Recharge as soon as possible)

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Nitecore EDC17 flashlight.
