- Thread the power cord through the lamp pole sections, starting from the base.

- Torchiere Light: The main upward-facing light is controlled by a rotary switch located on its socket. Turn the switch to cycle through three brightness levels (low, medium, high) and off.
- Ukufunda Ukukhanya: The adjustable gooseneck reading arm has its own independent on/off rotary switch. Turn the switch to activate or deactivate the reading light.
- Ingalo Eshintshwayo: The gooseneck arm can be pivoted and bent to direct light precisely where needed for reading, tasks, or accent lighting.
