6.1 Basic Operation and Gain Staging

  1. Ensure all volume controls (GAIN, LEVEL, MAIN) are set to their minimum position before powering on.
  2. Connect all desired input and output devices.
  3. Power on the mixer.
  4. For each active input channel, gradually increase the GAIN knob until the PEAK indicator briefly flashes during the loudest parts of the signal. Then, slightly reduce the GAIN to prevent clipping.
  5. Adjust individual channel LEVEL knobs and the MAIN output fader to achieve the desired overall mix volume.

6.2 48V Phantom Power

The mixer provides independent +48V phantom power for channels 1 and 2, essential for condenser microphones.

  1. Connect your condenser microphone to the XLR input of channel 1 or 2.
