2. Iziyalezo Zokuphepha
Always read and understand this instruction manual before operating the Dedra DED8706. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or damage to the product.
- Izinto Zokuzivikela Zomuntu Siqu: Always wear appropriate safety glasses, sturdy footwear, and hearing protection during operation.
- Ukunikezwa kwamandla kagesi: Ensure the power supply matches the specifications (230V). Use only outdoor-rated extension cords in good condition.

- Grass Collection Basket: Assemble the grass collection basket according to the instructions. Hook the assembled basket onto the rear of the machine.

- Ensure all assembly steps are completed and components are secure.

4.2. Ukulungisa Ukujula
The Dedra DED8706 features a 5-level working depth adjustment. This allows you to select the appropriate depth for scarifying or aerating based on your lawn's condition and the desired intensity of treatment.
- Amazinga: -12mm, -9mm, -6mm, -3mm, +6mm.
- Scarifying: For removing thick thatch and moss, use deeper settings (-12mm to -6mm).
- Aerating/Light Scarifying: For general aeration or lighter thatch removal, use shallower settings (-3mm to +6mm). The +6mm setting is typically for transport or very light surface work.
To adjust the depth, use the lever located on the side of the machine. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring it locks into place.

4.3. Ukuqala Nokumisa

- To start the machine, press the safety button on the handlebar control unit and then pull the operating lever towards the handle.
- To stop the machine, release the operating lever. The motor will cease immediately.

- Begin working at the shallowest setting and gradually increase depth if needed.
- Push the machine forward at a steady, even pace. Avoid sudden movements or forcing the machine.
- Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete coverage of the lawn.
- Regularly check and empty the grass collection basket to maintain optimal performance.
