AXLAHA Headlight Assembly Instruction Manual

For Toyota Tacoma (2012-2015)

This manual provides instructions for the AXLAHA Headlight Assembly, designed as a direct replacement for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Toyota Tacoma models. This assembly features a chrome housing with an amber reflector and is compatible with Halogen Headlight Models Only. Bulbs are not included.

The headlights are constructed from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and performance. They are quality tested to meet IP70 waterproof standards, providing reliable operation in various environmental conditions. Special fine chrome plating and reflectors enhance light reflectivity for improved night driving safety. An integrated adjuster allows for beam adjustment as needed.

To ensure proper fitment, verify your vehicle's model year and existing headlight type. For Toyota vehicles, VINs starting with "1", "4", or "5" indicate vehicles assembled in the US. VINs beginning with "2" indicate vehicles assembled in Canada, and VINs that start with "J" were produced in Japan. This product is designed for North American/Canadian built models and does not fit Japan-built models.

The AXLAHA Headlight Assembly is designed for a plug-and-play installation, requiring no complicated techniques or drilling. It comes as a pair, including both driver and passenger side assemblies.

5. Operating the Headlights

Once installed, operate your headlights using your vehicle's standard controls. The high/low beam function is controlled by your vehicle's stalk switch. The turn signals and parking lights operate as per your vehicle's original design.

Headlight Beam Adjustment:

The headlight assembly includes an adjuster to fine-tune the beam direction. Proper adjustment ensures optimal visibility without blinding oncoming traffic. Locate the adjuster screw on the back of the headlight housing (refer to 'Back Details' image in Section 3). Use a screwdriver to turn the adjuster to raise or lower the beam as required. It is recommended to perform this adjustment on a level surface, facing a wall, following local regulations for headlight aiming.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AXLAHA Headlight Assembly, regular maintenance is recommended.

  • Ukuhlanza: Regularly clean the outer lens with a soft cloth and mild soap solution to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the UV coating.
  • Ukuhlola: Periodically inspect the headlight assembly for any signs of damage, cracks, or moisture intrusion. The IP70 waterproof rating helps prevent water accumulation, but extreme conditions or physical damage can compromise this.
  • Ukushintshwa kwe-Bulb: If a bulb burns out, replace it promptly with the correct type (H4 for high/low beam, 4157A for turn signal). Ensure the vehicle is off and cool before handling bulbs.
