2. Ulwazi Lokuphepha

To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or damage to the equipment, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Umthombo wamandla: These are passive speakers and do not connect directly to a mains power outlet. They must be connected to an appropriate audio ampokokuphila.
  • AmpUkuhambisana kwe-lifier: Qinisekisa eyakho amplifier's output power and impedance match the speaker's specifications to prevent damage.
  • Ukungenisa umoya: Ungavimbi noma yiziphi izimbobo zokungenisa umoya. Faka ngokuhambisana nemiyalelo yomkhiqizi.
  • Amanzi Nomswakama: Do not expose the speakers to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the speakers.
  • Ukushisa: Ungafaki eduze kwanoma yimiphi imithombo yokushisa njengama-radiator, amarejista okushisa, izitofu, noma ezinye izinto ezisetshenziswayo (okuhlanganisa ampama-lifiers) akhiqiza ukushisa.
  • Ukubekwa: Place speakers on a stable, level surface to prevent them from falling. The anti-slip rubber feet provide additional stability.
  • Ukuhlanza: Hlanza kuphela ngendwangu eyomile.

Please inspect the contents immediately upon receipt to ensure all parts are present and undamaged. Contact your supplier if any items are missing or damaged.

4. Izici zomkhiqizo

The Fenton SHFB65 speakers incorporate several design elements for optimal audio reproduction:

  • 2-Way Speaker System: Each speaker features a 6.5-inch woofer for low and mid-range frequencies and a 3-inch tweeter for clear high frequencies.
  • Bass-Reflex Design: An integrated bass-reflex port on the rear of the cabinet enhances low-frequency response, providing deeper bass.
  • Gold-Plated Screw Terminals: High-quality gold-plated screw terminals ensure a secure connection and optimal signal transfer from your ampokokuphila.
  • Izinyawo Zerabha Ezingasheleli: Rubber feet are included on the base of each speaker to provide stability and minimize vibrations.
  • Ukwakhiwa Okuqinile: The speaker cabinets are constructed from wood, contributing to acoustic performance and durability.

5. Setha

Proper setup is crucial for optimal sound quality and speaker longevity. These speakers are passive and require an external ampokokuphila.

5.1 Ukubekwa

  • Place the speakers on a stable, flat surface at ear level when seated.
  • For stereo imaging, position the speakers equidistant from your listening position and spaced appropriately apart.
  • Avoid placing speakers directly against a wall if possible, especially due to the rear bass-reflex port, to prevent excessive bass resonance. A distance of 10-30 cm from the wall is often ideal.

5.2 Ukuxhumana ne- Ampokokuphila

The Fenton SHFB65 speakers connect to your amplifier using speaker wire. Ensure your ampI-lifier ivaliwe ngaphambi kokwenza noma yikuphi ukuxhumana.

  1. Lungisa Intambo Yesipikha: Strip approximately 1-2 cm of insulation from both ends of your speaker wire. Twist the exposed strands tightly to prevent stray wires.
  2. Xhumana nezipikha: Unscrew the gold-plated terminals on the back of each SHFB65 speaker. Insert the exposed speaker wire into the hole, ensuring that the positive (+) wire (often marked with red or a stripe) connects to the red terminal and the negative (-) wire (often marked with black or plain) connects to the black terminal. Tighten the terminals securely.
  3. Xhuma ku Ampophilayo: Connect the other end of the speaker wire to the corresponding speaker output terminals on your amplifier. Again, ensure positive (+) connects to positive (+) and negative (-) connects to negative (-). Maintain consistent polarity for both speakers.

Okubalulekile: Incorrect polarity (e.g., positive to negative) will result in poor sound quality, particularly weak bass. Always double-check your connections.

6. Iziqondiso Zokusebenza

Once the speakers are correctly connected to your ampophilayo:

  1. Qinisekisa ukuthi konke ukuxhumana kuvikelekile.
  2. Vula eyakho ampokokuphila.
  3. Select the desired audio source on your ampokokuphila.
  4. Start playing audio at a low volume and gradually increase it to your preferred listening level.

The volume and tone controls (bass/treble) are managed via your connected ampi-lifier noma umthombo womsindo.

7. Isondlo

To ensure the longevity and performance of your Fenton SHFB65 speakers, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Ukuhlanza: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the speaker cabinets. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.
  • Ama-grilles: The speaker grilles can be carefully removed for cleaning if necessary. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust. Reattach securely.
  • Imvelo: Avoid exposing the speakers to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
  • Ukuphatha: When moving the speakers, lift them carefully from the base. Avoid dropping or subjecting them to strong impacts.
