5. Setha

5.1. Ivula amandla

The APLOS Personal Alert Pager is battery-powered. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. The device is designed for immediate use upon activation.

5.2. Ukugqoka I-Transmitter

The alert button (transmitter) is designed for portability and accessibility.

  • I-Neck Lanyard: Attach the provided lanyard to the alert button and wear it around your neck for easy access.

5.3. Carrying the Pager (Receiver)

6. Iziqondiso Zokusebenza

6.1. Sending an Alert

To send an alert, simply press the orange "SOS" button on the alert transmitter.

6.2. Receiving an Alert

Upon receiving an alert signal from the transmitter, the pager will activate its triple alert functions:

  • I-alamu ezwakalayo: A distinct sound will be emitted from the pager's speaker.
  • Ukudlidliza: The pager will vibrate to provide a tactile alert.
  • Inkomba ebonakalayo: A red light on the pager will illuminate.

The pager offers customization options for the alert experience, including adjustable ringtone type and volume. Refer to Section 6.3 for details.

6.3. Customizing Alert Settings

The pager features dedicated buttons on its back for adjusting settings.
