The TooQ TQR-220B is designed for secure reading of electronic ID cards (DNIe) and other smart cards, facilitating online transactions, digital signatures, and access to public administration services.
2. Umkhiqizo Uphelileview
The TQR-220B is a compact and plug-and-play smart card reader. It features a USB 2.0 interface with a USB-A connector for easy connection to your computer.

4. Ukusebenza

Inserting a Smart Card:
- Ensure the reader is connected to your computer and the red LED is on.
- Locate the smart card slot on the top of the TQR-220B.
- Insert your electronic ID card (e.g., DNIe) or smart card into the slot with the chip facing upwards and towards the reader, as shown in the image below. Push the card gently until it is fully seated.

Ukufunda Nokubhala:
- Once the card is inserted, the green LED will flash or remain solid, indicating active communication (reading or writing) with the smart card.
- Use the appropriate software application (e.g., DNIe software, banking applications, digital signature tools) on your computer to interact with the smart card.
- Do not remove the card while the green LED is active, as this may interrupt data transfer or corrupt the card.
Removing a Smart Card:
Once your operation is complete and the green LED is no longer active, gently pull the smart card out of the slot.

The TooQ TQR-220B features two LED indicators to provide status information:
- I-LED Ebomvu:
- Vuliwe (Okuqinile): Indicates that the device is powered on and ready.
