Your Tognana Moka Pot consists of three main parts:

  1. Bottom Chamber: Holds the water. Features a safety release valve.
  2. Hlunga Ibhasikidi: Sits inside the bottom chamber and holds the ground coffee.
  3. Top Chamber (Carafe): Collects the brewed coffee. Includes a spout, lid, and a stay-cool ergonomic handle.

Before using your Moka Pot for the first time, disassemble all parts and wash them thoroughly with warm water. Do not use soap, as it can leave residue that affects coffee flavor. Allow all parts to air dry completely.

Follow these steps to brew rich, heavy-bodied coffee with your Tognana Moka Pot:

  3. Assemble the Pot: Carefully screw the top chamber onto the bottom chamber, ensuring a tight seal.
  4. Place on Stovetop: Place the assembled Moka Pot on a stovetop burner set to medium heat. Ensure the flame or heating element does not extend beyond the base of the pot to protect the handle.
  5. I-Brew Coffee: As the water in the bottom chamber heats and approaches a boil, pressure will build, pushing a stream of coffee slowly and methodically through the filter basket and up into the top chamber. You will hear a gurgling sound as the coffee brews.
  6. Khonza: Once the top chamber is full of brewed coffee and the gurgling sound subsides, remove the Moka Pot from the heat. Pour and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee.

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Moka Pot:
