Carefully remove the Pelican Storm iM2100 case from its packaging. Inspect the case for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Ensure all components, including the lid foam, base foam, and Pick N Pluck foam layers, are present.

Customizing the Foam Interior (Pick N Pluck)

The Pelican Storm iM2100 case includes Pick N Pluck foam, allowing you to create a custom fit for your equipment. This foam is pre-scored into small cubes for easy removal.

  1. Hlela Isakhiwo Sakho: Arrange your equipment inside the case to determine the optimal placement. Ensure sufficient clearance around each item and between items to provide adequate cushioning.
  2. Outline Your Items: Using a marker or chalk, carefully trace the outline of each item onto the top layer of the Pick N Pluck foam.
  3. Remove Foam Cubes: Gently pluck out the pre-scored foam cubes within your outlined areas. Start with smaller sections and gradually remove more foam until your equipment fits snugly without being compressed.
  4. I-Test Fit: Place your equipment into the customized foam. The items should fit securely and not shift when the case is closed. Adjust by removing more foam as needed.

Operating the Case

Opening and Closing the Press & Pull Latches

The Pelican Storm iM2100 case features Press & Pull latches designed for secure closure and easy opening.

  1. Ukuvula: Locate the small button on each latch. Press this button firmly, then pull the latch upwards to release it from the case body. Repeat for all latches.
  2. Ukuvala: Align the lid with the base. Press each latch down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the button on the latch is fully engaged and the latch is flush with the case body for a secure, watertight seal.

Using the Vortex Automatic Pressure Release Valve

The Vortex valve automatically adjusts air pressure inside the case, preventing vacuum lock and making the case easier to open after changes in altitude or temperature, while maintaining waterproof integrity.

  • No manual adjustment is required for the valve. It operates automatically.
  • Ensure the valve is free from debris or obstructions for optimal performance.

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your case:
