Please read and understand all safety precautions before using your Atari Lynx. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the device.

  • Do not expose the console to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the console to strong impacts.

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the console. This will void the warranty.
  • Use only the specified batteries or power adapter.
  • Remove batteries if the console will not be used for an extended period.

3. Setha

The Atari Lynx Model 1 requires six (6) AA batteries for portable operation. For extended play, an optional AC adapter can be used.

  1. Turn the console off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the console.
  3. Slide the cover latch to open and remove the cover.
  4. Insert six new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover and slide the latch to secure it.

3.2 Game Cartridge Insertion

To play a game, a game cartridge must be properly inserted into the console.

  1. Ensure the console is turned off.
  2. Locate the cartridge slot at the top of the console (when held in standard orientation).
  3. Hold the game cartridge with the label facing forward.
  4. Gently slide the cartridge into the slot until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
  5. To remove a cartridge, press the eject button (if present, or gently pull) and slide it out. Always turn off the console before removing or inserting cartridges.

  • To turn on the console, slide the "ON/OFF" switch located on the left side of the console to the "ON" position.
  • To turn off the console, slide the "ON/OFF" switch to the "OFF" position.

  • Directional Pad (D-pad): Located on the left side, used for character movement or menu navigation.
